Custom payment links
A payment link lets you charge a customer any amount without creating a product or an order. You set the price, share a link, and the customer pays through your store's own payment provider. The money goes straight to you.
What you'll need
- A published store with online payments enabled.
- A payment provider connected: Stripe, PayPal, or your own custom gateway.
Create the link
- Open your store card and tap the ⋯ (more) menu.
- Choose “Custom payment link”.
- Enter the price, and optionally a short description.
- Tap “Create link”.
Share it with your customer
- Copy the link with the copy button, or
- Tap Share to send it through any app, or
- Tap Email to send it as an email.
How the customer pays
When the customer opens the link they see the amount and your store name, enter their email for a receipt, and tap Pay. They're taken to a secure checkout page from your payment provider.
Which providers are supported
Payment links work with Stripe, PayPal, and custom (“Other”) gateways. If your store uses MallBasket's built-in checkout, connect Stripe or PayPal first to use payment links.
Reusable by design
A payment link stays active after each payment, so you can reuse the same link for multiple customers (for example a tip jar or a fixed-price service). Every payment is recorded separately, and each is tagged as payment-link income so it's easy to track.
What happens when you get paid
As soon as the payment succeeds you get a notification, the customer gets an emailed receipt (if they entered an email), and the payment is logged to your store's transactions. Amounts are always re-verified against the link before anything is credited.
